srx pricing?

im selling my 2000 srx...hate to see it go but, i gotta get rid of one.

i have a viper skid in the rear and have integrated rx1 shocks up front, used stainless rod for stiffeners inside the rolled edge of the running board, got some running boards someone cut off a nytro and fitted them into these boards for traction. ceramic coated stock tripple pipes, bender can(and stock one), real good clutching(mostly bendedr parts), smaller drives with 1.25 track and 144 studs with no ripthroughs. Viper seat with bumper and bumper cover(didn't look right with the stock bumper and cover it left the corners of the tunnel exposed). sled has high miles (almost 7000) but has been very well maintained, and engine has just been rebuilt( all three brand new spi pistons,rings,bearings,clips...) has average pits in front of the hood but not any more than any others out there with average wear. i put $3,000 on it cause i wanted 2500, ive told some that i would take 25 and stilll they are trying to beat me down. am i out in left field or what, i thought it is a pretty good deal for somebody, but maybee im blinded cause i got so much time with it and like it so much and put alot into getting it just the way i wanted it? anyone have any comments?
 

if no one will give you what you want for it,you could make more just parting it out.If you were closer to me..I'd buy it in a flash even at $3000.
 
agreed, it is probably worth more in parts but id really hate to kill it, i like it too much. id like it to find a good home, they are already getting harder to find.(that aint beat to death)
 
JUST MY OPINION HERE, THE SRX IS ANOTHER GREAT MUSCLE SLED OF YESTURYEAR THAT REALLY AIN,T WORTH THAT MUCH. ITS CONSIDERED A OLD TRIPLE NOW AND MANY ARE WORN OUT. I HAVE A 2000 AND A 20002, I BOUGHT BOTH BRAND NEW. IF YA HAVE TO CONSIDER PARTS IT OUT, THATS MY POINT. THEY ARE KNOW DEFFERENT THAN THE VMAX 4, THUNDER CAT, ZRT, XCR, MACH Z , STORM , MACH 1 etc. 3:16 (yammie tony)

i just bought a 00 700 for $1000, 5400 miles and pretty clean. it seems the prices are higher for them in canada but unfortunately (or fortunately if youre buying not selling) here in the states people aren't willing to pay much for them

man you guys are crazy if you are willing to pay that much for it!! I will deliver mine to the canadian border if you bring me $3000 for it and mine only has about 1500 miles on it!!
 
$3000 is what an SRX will sell for here approx for a 2001 or 2002.The 2000 down to 1998 a little cheaper.And the mileage will be higher.Paid $4600 for my 2002 3 years back and still spent a lot on it..whole new skid,track,wheels,ski's,shocks..etc.What can I say..love that sled I guess.Being updated and now I want to rebuild the motor,still is cheaper overall then a brand new sled and I get to tinker with it which is half the fun.Love the SRX and will keep it going for another 10 years.Still runs quick and I am not embarrased to ride it amongst the new sleds,as the new F8 found out last season..lol ;)!

well like I said I will deliver mine to the canadian border of northern Minnesota for anyone wanting to pay me $3000 for it!! It is the sled in my avatar

I bought mine for 1500 in Michigan last fall and will keep it for as long as they make parts for it, I go out everyday and look at it and see what else I can do or change something on it, still looking for a primary though mine has stress cracks on it but all in all still the best looking sled out there :letitsnow ;)! :2strokes:
