those peticular ones are oem, they also came stock on the viper s in 04 i beleive. what else helps(not much for traction purposes) but stiffens up quite a bit is i took stainles rod and drove it down inside the rolled edge of the running board from the tail end. the brackets are nice for traction also but the stainles rod did stiffen up alot. not 100% sure but my theory is that stiffening thie board up as much as possibe helps stop the coolers from leaking, aggressive riders that move around alot and flex it alot, or i also pick mine up on the car lift alot for maintence. ive seen alot of problems with the coolers wearing bad spots and leaking on the inside where it buts up against the tunnel. my thought is that it is from the flexing around the boards do. might be just another one of my crayzy ideas though. i did both the rods and brackets. they dont move now.
