I am looking to improve low to mid range throttle response on my 98 SRX. Boyesen claims to have a two stage reed? They say they are much better than the the stock Yamaha which they say are single stage reeds?
I am getting mixed reviews on the V-Force 3 reed system, it sounds like I may be better off with stock cages with a good after market reed? So looking for opinions on this modification, again just looking for better bottom end power band. I think the two most popular are Boyesen & Carbon Tech but not sure which has the better reviews?
All thoughts welcomed.

carbon tec reeds will not break so good choice i would stay away from v force 3 unless they have come up with a reed that will not break. AL
Carbontech is a Boysen product and yes they are the best AM reed IMO. Very durable and good all around reviews.

Boyesen bought out carbontech because they wanted there patent. They make the strongest reeds there are.All big turbo big nitrouse guro's use carbon tech reeds because it's the only thing that will hold up.
If your running a stock motor run yamaha oem reeds and reed spacer like Turk mentioned above.Yes there is a gain on the srx just not as much as on the red non powervalve tripples.

Thanks for the reed advice!
Any recommendations if I was to mill the SRX heads, on how much I take off? I dont want to over do it and was thinking .010"-.015" just to perk it up a tad.
