I bought this of a member here earlier this year. He said it was ok. I didn't really look at it until now. I don't like what I can see, as you can see, it has marks on it. You can feel them barely with your nail. Is this useable as a spare cylinder, or do I have to get it replated?

should be good to go,as long as there are no chunks missing.Get a hone for your drill and give it a few runs inside that cylinder.

did you get that from me ? if so yes it was a very good cylinder under 2000 miles ...
Ding
Darn Tootin'
If the marks catch a fingernail run across them then it should be bored or at least honed to remove. If not simply cross-hatch it. That said, you need to carefully measure it to make sure all is well and the piston you plan to use matches it.
