A buddy has an srx that he wants to stud with 144 mega bites or studboy studs, is there a preferance between the 2, should we go with all double backers or a mix and who has the best deals on studs right now?

Go Stainless Steel. So all your hard work doesn't turn into a rusty mess.
anybody run 144 all doubles down the middle? How did that work? I have seen some deals on stud boy studs but nothing on mega bites yet.

JOSH, YOU HAVEING A MEMORIE LAPS OR SOMETHING, YOU WERE THE ONE THAT TOLD ME YOU LOVED MEGA-BITES IN YOUR 2002 SRX. WHY WOULD YOU EVEN CONSIDER STUD BOY CRAP OVER WOODYS. 3:16 (yammie tony)
I ran the stud boy power points in my 900 firecat and had good luck with them that is why I would consider them again. Where is a good place to get a deal on megabites and what do you think about all double diggers for him tony?

I tried those plates and bent the hell out of every plate.
I am thinking 1.075's for a 1" track, it's a trail sled for him. As for the double backers I was just thinking of using the woodys flat ones. Let me know what you think of all double backers.

I have run mack studs on a phazer, woodys on a vmax, and extreme max on both my vipers. Liked them all and had no problems with any of them. I am a trail, river runner. My wife is running a 1" track with a predrilled for 144. I have 120 with single and double backers down the middle and it hooks great (using the extreme max studs). And i just saw port yamaha has them on close out for $1 stud, and .30 cents for round single, and .60 cents for flat doubles. They also have a lot of info on them at their web site. Just some info. i always liked the "christmas tree" patern myself rather than using th doubles. i use the round oversised backers and will never go with anything else again. made the track last 10 times longer with no pullthroughs. it was on a really fast srx that was notoriouse for eating track up and they held up. i use the extreme max studs and backers, they also did better against bending than the woodys i always used before. but if you use another brand ive seen them in the oversized round backers also. the old square ones seemed to dig in the corner of tha backer and start tearing the track easy.
do those extreme max studs not have a shoulder at the end of the threads?

shoulder?
woodys and stud boy studs have a shoulder so that you cannot overtighten the backers too deep into the track, the extreme max ones look like they dont have the shoulder..
