Stupid questions about Powervalves

Can I still use a PV if the coating has chipped off several places or will it melt? Will it become stickier?

The coating on all my PV's is about gone, i jus keep them clean and adjusted a couple times a season, never had a problem

After I clean mine,I spray liquid Graphite on them.Gives them a nice coating and less will stick to it.

I like the Moly Disulfite spray BETTER than the graphite.... The coating is basically a PLASTIC just like when you get something anodized...

But, if GRAPHITE is all you have,,, it is a FANTASTIC IDEA !!!
