i got a 1990 chevrolet silverado. im redoing the wiring for the fog lights, so i bought a kit that has a new reley and a after market buttons so i bought a stock fug light button but didnt come with a diagram. So i dont know where the wires go to in behind it, and i dont want to blow the button. any one have a diagram for these? or know how the wires go to. Or even a site that i can look it up?

Post a pic of the switch. Some are two pole and others are three pole. The three pole switch will illuminate the switch and the two pole will simply either power up or ground out the relay.

Oh ! You got a factory switch. Would need to look at a service manual for the wiring schematic on that one. If that where my switch I would open it up and see how it works inside and also use an ohm meter to check the circuits of the switch. There is obviously 12v in,12v out or ground out, ground, dash illumination, and ign?? Sorry, thats all I got on that one.
After looking at that pic some more I bet that has a relay inside. Then it would have 12v,12v out to fog lights, ground,12v from dash lights and either 12v from ign or headlight switch.

Ive been trying to figure out with the volt meter, cant seem to figure it out. Also looked it up in 3 diffrent GM pickup manuals and none of them show that GM had fug lights i nany of their trucks. WHich isnt true, lots of 2 wheels drive trucks had them. Im going to call the dealer.
