I have a few strings showing on the side of my track, it hasn't been rubbing and is nearly brand new.
Should I be worried? can I just cut them or maybe burn them off?
Thanks.

Some tracks"fray" a little more then others, depends on riding style conditions ect.
It sounds like you have checked that it can not, or is not, rubbing on anything...very important!
I regularly hang the back end, of my high mileage sleds, up off the ground and using a hand held propane torch burn/melt the fraying threads off the track windows and edges. I would not recommend cutting the strings over melting them.

That will work perfect. I was thinking of use a propane torch but having a buddy rotate the track slowly while its off the ground would be ideal.
I definitely checked to make sure that there was no signs of rubbing, tracks are much too expensive to waste on that.

The last 2 brand new tracks I installed had some cord material showing in the track window and along the edges. A propane torch quickly mets these fibers and cleans them up nicely. You do not have to hold the torch in one spot too long, the strands melt and ball up very quickly.
