Hi guys!
I guess this thread should be in the TY4stroke forum but since I ride a two stroke now I felt that this was the right place.
My current sled is a 2004 Viper Mountain.
For several years I`ve been dreaming of owning a Turbo Apex Mountain.
Its just... awesome. The looks, the sound. I know its heavy and isn`t as light an nimble as my viper.. but still its awesome.
I`m thinking about selling my 2003 Kawasaki Z1000 because I`m having issues controlling myself, speeding too much and taking to much chances.
If I sell the bike and add some $ I can buy an Apex Mtn Turbo.
Its a white 2008 anniversary model with the MC Express 260hp kit. Lightweight front suspension, fox floats in the front, Øhlins in the rear.
Is it wrong to make a dream reality if you can ??
I`m thinking of keeping the Viper as a go crazy sled when I really want to put the lever to the bar and braaap like I love with a two stroke.
Hmm....
How bad is the handling of an Apex? I consider myself as a fairly skilled rider, have been riding for 10 years now.
Back in the day I had a 2003 RX1 ER and also had a 2004 Warrior. For my type of riding their handling sucked.. .
I guess the Apex MTN is better? It should be much more suitable for mtn riding since it is had the more narrower ski distance.. .
My worries is that it is a point and shoot sled, like.. its hard to change your direction whilst going uphill.. .
Hmm

There should be a night and day handling and ride difference between a Warrior and a Apex.I believe Turk has had a bunch of these sleds, some with turbos as well.He would be a good one to get some feedback from on this.
Hi there!
Swede I got a PM from grapeape and he told me that there was indeed a great difference between the old RX1 and the new Apex. This is cool!
Also by adding some lightweight parts it can be really nimble
I will keep you posted... like I say.. it all depends if I get the bike sold.
Thing is this spring I convinced my bestfriend to buy a Z1000 like I have, and so he did. This summer he went riding with another friend, his friend crashed and died from the injuires. (ride carefully guys, the line from being a tough guy on a bike and being dead is THIN) This led to my friend selling his Z1000 last week.
Turned out that the buyer was the guy who also is selling the Apex MTN turbo I`m drewling at.. my bad luck I guess. I could probably have made a decent trade with that guy if I added a little $.
Hm

Kimoaj.I just bought another apex mtn last week.I use to have an 07.I din't go out west for a year so i decided to sell it but went out again last year and there is nothing like mtn riding. The apex mtn rides like a caddilac on the trail and actually feels light in the powder.
I wish you luck.
