Extroverts and nonused drive lugs

Reasons not to. 1 most int drive lugs are still used even with extrovert drivers, 2 it will be a pain t odo so without damaging the track, 3 porting your track will do more in weight reduction than grinding off int drive lugs
 
take a closer look at any manufacturer of extros- they drive both the open windows of the track and the track lugs. why would you want to remove half of the drive system as well as jeapordize structural integrity?

There are three lugs total. One on the outside of the window, and two on the inside. The two on the inside is where it's driving off of now. I'm thinking that the far inside one is not going to be used w/ extros. I haven't got/done anything yet.....just thinking.
 
I understand what you're saying and yes the set of lugs on the track in the center will not be used with extro's so I don't see what it would hurt to shave them off. And you would make the track a little lighter. Maybe a quarter pound.
 
Cut one off(one won't hurt, even if you end up not doing it), weigh it, count how many there are, multiply it, etc. Add maybe 5-10% to the weight that you come up with(for the amount of material that is removed/shot across the garage floor from cutting them). That's what I would do anyways.....

If I do end up doing this, I'd just weigh the track before and after. Have to get it first. My stock Yoko has just about had it. Probably be a punched and obviously fully clipped Hacksaw.
