I have plans to do a 141in phazer my question is will the lil 480 spin this track or am i asking for tomuch?

Just hold the back end up (you can do this with one hand on a PZ480). The track will spin very easily.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Yes just gear down. All Phazers are geared too high to begin with in my opinion. Gear them down and they really wake up. Of course you will lose top-end on perfect conditions, downhill etc.

I would go a tooth or 2 lower than the PZ480 ST was geared. You could go 15x31 with a 64 chain.

Looked at some other notes . . .

You may want to go with even shorter gears (2.1 or even 2.2) if you plan to use it off-triail a lot.

I assume you will have the 8 tooth drivers.

For strictly off trail, the Phazers need really low gears.

I suggest . . .

16x33 with a 66 chain
- or -
16x35 with a 66 chain

I have a 1992 Exciter II 570, did a custom 136" track/tunnel extension last season, stilll have the stock gears in there & wow does it suck balls, haha, would a phazer 136" gear set be ideal??? It is pretty much fully modded.. its like a 1 3/4" lug track, has a pipe, modded airbox, clutches both tuned for mods.. but ya it only has balls till like 6900RPMS till it wont shift... help muchly appreciated!!! just looking for what gear set to purchase and I'll be on the mountains passing the rev's this season!!
