Hey guys gona put transfer rods on my sled and wanted to know some ideas in how to setup my suspension i know that the rods should be 50/50 but what about the shocks and limiter straps i deff want to get a good take off pull the skies up . Now when i hit the throttle it will just spin the track even in grass it wont hook up at all stock clutch for now but will be changing over to setup turk suggested to compete with a f7

You don't need too lift the skis no more than a couple inches and every little bit will help beat the F7. I'm running Heelclickers in my clutch and I have beaten my fair share of putty tats and have lost to a couple around here

here's my setup

heel clickers 40/10 kit
red spring
50/38 Dalton helix
silver spring @ 60
21/40 gearing
1.25 track
and no ski lift

you are running a 1.25 track yet.Switch to a 1 inch and you can beat all the Cats. The 1.25 will slow you down some, and I assume you have geared for it.You like them HC's I sold ya eh!

everything is stock as of now but turk told me to put 53/43 helix and change inner rivets to 4.5 on the clutch im going to do that and im putting bender transfer rods on it and maybe reeds i have read that you need to have your suspension setup as well i was hoping to get some ideas on what to do because right now i have no weight transfer to track i give it gas and it will just spin untill i let off does not hook up till about 60mph and thats on grass i can just imagine how bad it will be in snow or ice LOL

My suspension is all stock I just tightend up the limiter straps a little and the transfer rods I have are stock with the big plastic washer on top and the small on the bottom, and my front end is still the same as when I bought the sled and my front does not lift more than a couple inches on launch it will shoot straight which is what you need and this is for snow hadn't tried it at grass drags yet but will be doing the mods listed below in the topics I attached. A big plus also that will help you would be to buy some trail picks for your track 144-168-192 would help in traction ;)!

here suspension setups for you

Theres a Yamaha made suspension tuning video around here somewhere that explains how to dial the suspension in for whatever u want (straight line traction or cornering)

im sure someone has the link saved.
