Hi was out looking the sled over had the belt off to clean the clutches and when I turn the primary clutch back and forth I noticed a nocking from on side the engine. This sound is not present when idling the sled is an 02 with 8500 km previous owner rebuilt it at 5500 not sure if he did the crank or not any ideas should I tear it down? Is this normal any help or advice is greatly appreciated

Team blue ,I noticed the same thing on my 01 sled when i was checking it over.I posted awhile back on same issue. From what i was told it is mostly due to lower bearing clearance tolerances. When comparing with my other sleds they all have it one just has alittle more.Yamigod posted he thought that there was a factory spec range on this.My sled also ran strong with good compression.
Make sure its not just your clutch weights falling down on the roller pin......

No it's not the clutch weights I was just worried it could be the crank bearings. So you guys don't think it is anything to worry about this is normal?
If it makes a lite clunking noise when you rock the clutch back + forth its probably just the piston skirts rocking back + forth against cylinder walls...if it runs good with no noise...not a problem.

THESE GUYS ARE RIGHT ON. IF YOU WERE ABLE TO HOLD CONECTING ROD IN YOUR HAND, YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO MOVE IT SIDE / SIDE (slightly) ON CRANKSHAFT. NORMAL TOLERANCE. 3:16 (yammie tony)
