I have been looking on Royal Distributing's website at replacement skis and am having a difficult time determining what fits what. For the price of the darn things, I think I'm going to build some aluminum uppers to attach to some plastic skis, but I need skis for a couple different sleds. What I'm trying to find out is the center to center measurement on the pins for the leaf spring. I have a 75 GP ski that measures 23 7/8 inches from center of the front pin to the center of the rear pin. Is this the same as the earlier skis for the 70/71/72 sleds? Can anyone tell me?
I have a 70 and a 72 but neither has Yamaha springs and skis!!!
I need skis for my 76 GP 440, 70 SS 338, a 73 GP 292 and my Rupp 295. I know the Rupp is different and have that but have no idea of the measurement on the 70.
I'll post pics later of what I build, I think a lot of people would be interested. Thanks. G.

23 1/2 to 23 7/8 is right for the 70-72 yamaha's. And I believe it's the same for all the Yamaha's with the squared hand holds at the front of the skis. The difference is in the bridging/support inbetween the leaf spring mounts. I think 70-72 are the same style. In 73 they removed all the bridge work except for a flat plate. The runner's under the ski will have different/more mounting holes for the later years also.

Thanks Mark. Thats the measurement I was looking for. I'm going to order the formed aluminum tomorrow and picking up a fresh bottle of argon. Keep you guys posted. G.
