What would it take to switch the 98 99 style headlight to the 2000+ style? have to change the hood /windshield out also? Just picked up my first srx, a 98 with the Ohlin's shocks, and decided the 2000+ look much meaner.

light gauge pod and windy that is all you need. but you cant use 2 bulbs you need the newer electrical system
You will need a lot of parts, The dual bulb runs off a 300 watt stator and the single bulb sleds only put out 175 watts. you would need a 300 watt stator, wiring harness for that system, CDI box dual bulb gauge pod and windshield for a dual bulb.
If your really wanting to do this, I would suggest getting all electrical from a 2000
Its really more of a headache then its worth. IMO, if you really want a dual bulb sled, sell the one you have and shop around for one.

The 98-99 cases need to be machined to fit the 300w stator too...

Wow, never mind then.lol, I will run this one a couple seasons, and look for an 02, that was the year i wanted, but still a little pricey for me. Thanks for the input guys.
