Well, ive decided today that it should be time to start putting the sled together abit, so i got a few questions.
Im building a suspension with my viper and srx suspension, and i have to take out the last chaft at the back because the hole has been cross threaded. What is the easiest way to pull those boggie wheels out ?

rear axle? the big skid wheels? they will just slide off the shaft, unless your experiencing some serious corrosion. if thats the case, scotchbrite the shaft or pull some emery cloth on it to give a free sliding area for exit. the wheels are just slid on the shaft and held apart with spacers. the bogies at the upper mount point on the rear scissor are usually the most troublesome, if these are the ones your referencing, i have a trick for one side, but a press is quite handy for the remaining wheel. since you implied the "hole" was cross threaded, is it the inside of the rails rear pair, or the upper rear portion of the rear scissor?
i mean , the boggie wheel, the top one where the suspension bolt up in the middle of the running bord . (the one with the full size wheel) sorry for the confusion
looks like that is just a shaft that can be replaced after looking at the parts fich but its 104 dollars ...guess you could try chasing the threads or just tap it to different thread pitch or go next size up on the bolt ...or heli coil ...or even fill the hole with a weld and drill and retapp to orgional bolt ...i might even have that on a old suspension i got out back

Seeing the shaft is messed up anyhow u can use the 2x4 method. Get a big sledge and a 2x4 and give it a few wacks. Just put the 2x4 on the shaft so you dont mushroom it and hit the 2x4 with the sledge. Dont be shy it can take it. A blow or 2 and it will pop right off. I got a new shaft from the local scrap yard as it can be from any proaction skid for 60 bucks with the boggies. Once you get one wheel off put it in your vice loose with the wheel on top and do the same. Should be able to save the boggies just fine. Then just but them back on new shaft the same way. Get a friend to give ya a hand holding things. CCC
