Is their a way to tell if your shocks are good or bad as far as needing a rebuild? Reason i as is I bought a set of RX1 ohlins for my rear skid i am putting on my 04 viper s. I have no idea how many miles are on them. They are clean with the normal wear and tear marks. As far as i can tell from all my reading and searching is that the valving and spring rate is pretty close to what i want. I know the spring was harder in the RX1 then the viper ohlins but shouldnt be a problem. I guess dont want to waste my money on a rebuild and valve if i dont have to. Or should i just get them done so im sure they are ok. CCC

just get a tune up, change oil and seals around $40.00. good thing to do every 3000 - 5000 km and when its open they'll check the cylinder, rod ect a re build is around $150.00 but a new ohlins is 250.00 plus bla bla...so in my opinion its worth it, m2c.
