How much are new trailing arms? I am going to look at a 98 SRX sat morning and the sellers says that one of the trailing arms are bent- the price is low so i am not expecting perfection.
I know there is a difference between SRX and viper arms

You should be able to find used parts in good to perfect shape. Put a post in the classified section.

Totally agree with RX1jim, used is the way to go, definately if you are looking at a machine that has not been babied. Probably pick one up fairly cheap on here....

The trailing arm's are different....The angle where the spindle goes in is different....The spindle is a different diameter to...Ask the Tech guy he know's all the specs...
Stock trailing arms are stamped with a letter on the bracket for the radius rods (near the spindle). The specifics are in the Tech Pages (at least they were a few years ago). Once you see what the good one is stamped with, all you have to do is find a match (the other side of course).

Since the trailing arm is bent, take a good look at the mounting points on the chassis and look over the rest of the suspension components. Depending on how hard and where the sled was whacked, ther might be other damage. Best to know all the problems up front before you make an offer.
