97 SX700 vmax..is it a triple

there good sleds for the most part. I have heard of crank problems in some of them. dont remember if it was the crank or a bearing.

They run just like a 700 sxr

07 red heads had a weak crank bearing...can,t remember if it was pto or mag. I toasted one in my 97 700mm & lots of em went south here. They were beefed up in 1998.

This is true. I believe it's pto side. Or you get some like my 97 where we didnt crack the motor until 7400 miles. Only replaced the outer crank bearings as a caution. They were perfectly fine.

97 had a weak mag side bearing. It had two bearings on the mag side. In 98 they changed it to one large bearing.
