i have srx that kept on getting beat by a couple of ski-doos last winter, and i'm getting a little fed up with it. thinking maybe a clutch kit is instore as well as new track, the one on it now is junk. but i really dont know what to go with, thinking maybe the preditor or hacksaw, any advise on what eles i can do to this sled so can have some bragging rights again
What year is your srx?
What are your rpm,s at wide open throttle?
Are the powervalves & cables in good shape?
Is compression good?
Man we need so much more info then you gave us.
I bet you have issues that needs more then a clutch kit.

Setup an appointment with mrviper he's in Ohio and a member on here and then those Ski-doos will be a thing of the past

First advice, listen to Turk..he knows his stuff.
With regards to track choice, if you go with a hacksaw you will need to cut the little fingers that run over the track clip area or they will rub on the tunnel protectors.

Jack up the rad cap and drive a Vmax-4 under it. Let her back down and you'll be in business.

Adjustable wieght transfer rods will help your launch...they help to put the power down to the ground.
What kind of Ski-Donts are you racing against?
01 srx, compression is between 125 and 135, dont remeber what the rpms at wide open is, as far as the power valves and cables go they all appear to be in good shape when i looked at them last fall, have not got it out and looked at them this year. riding with a 500ss, a 600 renegade, 800 renegade ski-doos and a polaris IQ and a f7 cat. seems to me like im having issues connecting to the ground, i put a viper suspension under it 2 years ago.
need more info as Turk would say! these guys need more info. the only sled you should have a problem with is the F7 if tuned right if not they should all be seeing your snowflap NEED MORE INFO!. No need for a clutch kit as the OEM parts will get you ahead of the competion with ease and well setup suspension

All those sleds are beating you??, A 500ss -- come on!!! Is your sled firing on all cylinders??
you better bring that sled over and i will put a new sparkplug in it, because it must only be running on 2 cylinders...lol
just kidding, if ya need help i am in Ohio, you wont be losing to those guys if the sled is set up, they will be wondering where you dissappeared to out front.
