My hand & thumb warmers are barely getting warm. Where do I need to start to resolve this problem? Thanks

Search here for a service manual online, I don't know where to find them - or someone will tell you. Go through the checks in the manual. It will not tell you everything, but it will be a starting point.
i would start by checking each grip and the thumb for continuity, then look at the ground wire. rust or corrosion will reduce the output. after that it will be a series of electrical component testing to find/rule-out questionable parts. start with the easy stuff first.
