I have a 1980 SS440 I was rebuilding until I found out the center seal on the crank is bad (basically, the motor is trash.) This was a budget vintage build that I have no intention of paying to split the cases, seperate the crank, etc.
Does anyone know if the SRV 540 motor bolts in to the ss? What parts would I need to make it work? SRV carb and intake manifold or will an SS fit on the SRV motor?

They are basically the same chassie except for the front and rear suspensions. So yes it should be an easy bolt-in. Use all the SRV components and you should be fine.
