I was looking at the hood and air box on my 2000 SRX. Where does it breath from? I was thinking a couple of 2 inch Flowrites in front of the gauges might help? Has anybody done this? Is the SRX breathing just fine left alone?

I added 4 or 5 2" flowrites in front of my gauges. Only way to keep it breathing when running in over the hood powder. On the trail/lakes like the sled was originally designed the stock setup works fine. As a boondocker/mountain sled it needed more air.

My SRX is used aminly cross country and some trail in northeast Saskatchewan. I never jet for elevation here, tempurature only. How much did you have to richen the mixture with the flowrites?

I ran the factory jetting and it was fine. Buddy of mine did his the same way and hasn't had any issues either. Mine's a 780 now and I'm running the recommended flatland jetting here at home. It's always been fine down to -10F or so. ad the heads off it this summer and it all looked good.
