Congrats to all the SRX racers that placed on the podium at HayDays.

See the Arctic cat could not last more than 5 yrs and still race, as the SRX is still a force to be reckoned with at the BIG level!

Long live the SRX 700 & 600 ;)! :letitsnow :letitsnow

better watch where u go blue with that sled lolll :letitsnow

I would love one for riding the river around here. I know it would knock the doors off a few cats that they love to run around here. Ive been wanting to run my cpr viper but its my baby and i hate to do that to it. It wants to stretch it legs but its my everyday rider and i cant afford to have it down. You can get a nice SRX around here for about $2000 so you never know. Oh and the wife thing, yea thats it. CCC

Need to have your crap together because of the weight penalty for the triples, the twins will eat your lunch so not too many still running triples for this reason, only a few of us die hards left.
In the hands of the right tuner, though, the SRX will sure hold it's own. Especially in the lite mod classes where you get to take the added weight off and the twins have to stay the same, it's even more evident the SRX can flat out fly!

Great job over at Haydays ;)!

It takes literally HUNDREDS of hours to accomplish these things guys. The people who got the places have spent many long days and nights to accomplish it!

ALSO, IF YOU PLAIN ON KEEPING YOUR SRX 10 YEARS, BUT SCOOP UP AS MANY PARTS AS YOU CAN. SOONER OR LATTER THEY WILL BE GONE. REMEMBER YAMAHA HAS KNOW REGUARD FOR TWO STROKES ANYMORE. THEY CARE ALESS ABOUT THE SRX. 3:16 (yammie tony)

with the price of a new Apex out here over $17,000.00 not including taxes..better believe I will keep my SRX going as long as I can.I have been storing parts already for the future for the SRX.But there will always be parts out there.Hey even for my old 76 Pantera ,I can still order parts on line for it..so don't see an issue there for at least 25 years....Can you see me riding my SRX down the river full throttle in my eighties...yeha!!!!!... ;)!

MONSTER I DISAGREE. ALOT OF STUFF FOR THE SRX IS ALREADY DRYED UP FROM YAMAHA. SHURE, THERE IS ALWAYS SALVAGE , E BAY, AFTERMARKET etc. BUT GOOD LUCK GETTING ANYTHING COSMETIC AND I ALREADY KNOW COMPLETE CRANKSHAFTS AND LOWER END BEARING ARE LONG GONE. GIVE YA A EXAMPLE. YOU SAY 25 YEARS ? OK, NEXT TIME YOUR AT A YAMAHA DEALER, ASK HIM WHATS AVAILABLE FOR A 1979 SRX 440. HEY, I AM IN THE SAME BOAT I RUN TWO SRX,s. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Thats the truth. When I smacked a tree a couple years ago the only bumper I could get my hands on from yamaha was a black 98 msrx bumper. No blue bumpers available then and i doubt they have or will make any more.

Hmm I just ordered and recieved all 3 belly pans bumpers and a boat load other parts. Yamaha just waits for a back order log to get big enough to make more parts. The down side is you may be waiting a while. In the future I can see them drying up. So yes stock up on the usual items.

maybe that's why in the parts fiche they don't show any replacement bearings for the crank at all for the SRX.But in the 600SXR fiche they still sell the bearings, part numbers are still available. hmmmmmm!!!!Don't make sense.

i just ordered a complete bearing set for the vmax4 95, 800 got them all but one on back order but yes i do see down the road when they get real harsh on the emistions for these sleds they will just obsolete all parts for 2 strokes on the smoke side. it will only be die hards that wont let go of history and thats all right 2 . i will be 80 and still riding my vmax4 if i can hang on lol
