Is it possible to have smoothing coils and a battery in a 04 Viper Mountain?
The reason I ask is I bought this sled used, 2004 Viper Mountain and it had electric start and reverse installed on it. I assumed these were stock parts, but now i am thinking the ER parts were added. I am ditching the electric start and the battery, and I have been reading to do so you need two smoothing coils. However this sled had smoothing coils mounted behind the right (knee-louver board).
So i am thinking i can just take the battery out the sled will still run without the guages acting all funny.
If someone thinks I am an idiot for thinking this, please post.
