best track for a 97' sx 700

There are a lot of factors when deciding on a track, always making it a difficult decision. The lug height is always on of the most difficult and usually depends if you are going to stud the track or not. We offer a variety of tracks and studs for a great price and can help you make your decision on a track if you would like. Are you thinking of running a 1" lug or 1.25"? Studding?

What's everybody running on there comparable sleds? And how do you like it?

I have a sx 600 with 121 x 1.5 solid lug track. I ride the trails or in the ditches if there is hardly any snow. I works good for me! Personally I would never put studs in, thats just asking to rip a front heat exchanger out.

Thanks for the input. Is a 1.5" track the largest lug that will go under the sx sleds? Picking the track would not help out on roads and trails? What about a 121 ripsaw track with a 1.5" lug? I was really thinking of picking it, I spin pretty bad tacking off on trails and roads. Maybe I should rethink that. Any opinions?

I ride almost only on groomed trails, but I ride around some fields as well. On my Viper I have a 1.25 Ripsaw with NO studs and I love it. It hooks up just fine for me, and I thought it was a great performing track last season. Just my 2 cents.

Bruce, you gonna be at Novi this year?

I just sold a 121" 1" Predator with woody megabits at Haydays. I loved it! But i'm going to a 144" setup this year. For a 121 the predator was a great hookup with 96 studs. I ride on too many icey trails, not to stud a track... It sucks to ruin a heat exchanger, but it would suck even worse to end up dead cause you couldn't stop... or you slid through turn and hit someone else.

I ran a 1" predator with 144 studs in my SRX and was very pleased with its performance too. This would be a great recommendation for a 700 SX too if you are looking for mainly trail riding and a shorter lug track that performs pretty well in the looser snow conditions.
