I've got the motor out of our ovation (which I replaced with one I rebuilt.) It's been on a shelf in my garage for about a year. Should I begin tearing it apart to part out?
FWIW, the motor I have on my shelf supposedly seized. I didn't mess with it as I knew it had been sitting for some time (aka...years) and I picked up a motor for it and rebuilt it in my spare time on my bench so the refreshed motor was ready to go when I finally pulled the sled to my place. I'm guessing some parts will still be good like the carb manifold, recoil, stater, etc.
