Has anyone tried one of these kits to install hid ballasts and bulbs in their sled?I had seen these for sale last year in the Royal Distributing catalog but am unsure if they are compatible with sleds like my 98 SRX.They say that these are for the H4 bulbs so it should work but it would be rather expensive to by one of these kits and not have it work.

i think you need a battery to use hid . there is a high amp draw to get them to fire up

Ya, I dont think they will work in any sled that doesnt have a battery. Helped a buddy put a set in his '06 Rev last year, and they look really good. Sadly, I do not have an ER Viper.....
Some one on here did a conversion for the older sleds . It was a few years ago. I think he installed a small battery just for the lights to make it work.
