Hi guys,
I just pulled the engine in my 2001 SRX700 to check for the harness problem. My sled had some intermittent electrical problems last year and I read about the harness problem so I wanted to check it out.
Well I checked the harness under the engine, and it appears fine. I stripped the tape off and checked each wire and found nothing.
Anybody have any suggestions where else to look?
Thanks guys.

what kind of problems were you having?? :S
It happened a few times last season. When the sled started, there was no lights at all, and once or twice the gauges were not reading.
I fiddled around with the wiring harness the first time and it seemed to clear up(maybe coincidence) and once or twice I had to shut the sled off and restart to fix the problem.
I had heard about the harness problem and figured this had to be my problem but now it appears not.
Any ideas?? Thanks, Mark.

if it's only happening at start up and when the lights come on they stay on. i would say it the load control relay sticking, very common problem. they are located above the left foot well behind the black plastic . there are two relays there a white one and a blue one, cant remember which is which but remove both and dry them out on your furnace vent for a day or so and should clear up the problem.Bomberfan said:It happened a few times last season. X2 - IIRC it's the blue relay. Common problem and many were replaced under warranty - mine was.
