YPVS Adjustment 98 SRX 700

Instructions say to set servo by lowering idle to below 900 rpm and putting a mark on the housing and cable spool. My question is do I leave the engine running to adjust the free play to 2.5mm or have it shut off?

Ok I am getting there, so does it help the performance if I adjust to the low side of the spec @ 2.0mm or at the high side @3.5mm I assume the low side will open the valve more? Or just take the middle of the spec @2.75mm?

most of us just go with 2.5mm

I found a coat hanger that mic-ed out to 2.5mm and bent in U shaped.. works great , does not fall into belly pan..... then throw in tool bag for future reference.....
