couple people told me that the fed govt wants to soon ban all older 2 stroke engines? I know this is done in Yellowstone, but do you think this is possible in all other areas? I imagine this would kill the snowmobile business as we know it, as a majority i imagine, still have 10 year old sleds or so....anyone else hear of this?

never.... they'll have to peel my cold dead hands off the throttle.....

Haven't dabbled in the politics of this subject in a while, but tighter emission restrictions is the primary reason you don't see Yamaha 2 strokes and Doo see direct injection.

Will they ban 2 strokes outright, probably not. They'll just ban new sales of them or regulate the emissions to the point of making them incompatable.

It's coming...

The gov. would never be able to ban two stroke engines. The higher emission standards are the way the gov. eliminates the older engine technology. I would not woory about seeing restrictions to what older sleds you choose to ride.

if they are 2 to that then all our older automotive would have 2 be ,it will effect those that whant 2 ride in our parks they can stop u from going that way only allowing 4 strokes 2 go. my 2 cents they allso are going a lot of parts obsolete any more so when all parts are gone they will slowly delete them selves from the market
