I pulled my valve to clean & check them last night and found that I put in the
pto valve upside down would this hurt anything there is no marks on the valve.
what about performance ? I cleaned & checked them this spring before a trip to the mountains boy I still can't beleive I did that!!

if it hasn't done any damage by now...I would think that you will feel very little difference with it in right....
I think you should definately feel the difference. When the valve is reversed it will protrude way down into the exhaust port and kill flow. In the up position the angle of the valve allows it to pull up flush to the port casting, reversed it would stick out at least a 1/4 inch. Not huge, but in a 2 stroke especially at high rpm there is so little time to scavenge the cylinder it must have an effect.
