I know it has been done but what do i need besides the seat of course? The rear bumper aswell correct? My seat is shot from last year and figured if i buy a new seat i wouldnt mind getting a viper seat since i like that style better. Thanks!
gastank if you want it to look totally correct as the srx uses a small elastic lace on a screw at the top. as you mentioned rear bumper and cover as well.

As mrviper said. If you want to look original you will need the gas tank, You will need to change the electrical connector on the seat side (SRX and Viper are different), The bumper you will do a little trimming on the back alluninum peice, the metal bumper bolt holes line right up, but the plastic cover you w/ need to re drill the bolt holes for the tunnel to bolt the plastic on. Verry little modification and easy to do. Go to my build site I have some pic of it.

i did it once and kept my srx tank, wasnt really bad, someone had to be looking to notice it but it did stick out enough in my eyes that i would rather have swapped out the tanks.
i stayed with the srx bumper cover on mine , i thinks it looks better in my opinion
i used a standard tank and my tank bag covered it up anyway.

I picked a tank real cheap at a swap meet, they were practically giving it away. They aren't expensive...

Can I use the connector of an SRX seat? What do you suggest I do?

When I had the Viper seat on my SRX I cut the the last 6" or so, with the connector, off of my old SRX seat and just spliced it on to the Viper seats tail light wires. I never changed my SRX fuel tank when using the Viper seat and no one ever commented on it as the differences are fairly subtle. I also added a clear tail light lens with red led bulbs...it looked + worked great!

Do you think the clear lens with red bulbs was brighter than the red lens?

Yes...but I used "Led" 1157 type bulbs.
