I've been riding my whole life, but am just now getting into modding my sled, i've read a few threads but finding exactly what i want seems to be all over the place.
long story short i have an 02' sx viper and i picked up a pair of used simon's CPR triple pipes which were supposed to come with jetting, but didn't. I read i needed 160 160 162 and 47 47 50 jetting. is this correct? Are there any other necessary mods which need to be made along with them? i'd really like to not blow up my baby. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, just new to tuning sleds.
thanks!

Those jetting specs are if you have the carbs still vented to the airbox, instead of atmosphere. If venting to atmosphere, you will end up around 150 for mains. Another thing, is I would raise the needles 1/2 clip if vented to atmosphere and raise needles 1 clip position, if leaving carbs vented to airbox. Other things you must do to ensure reliability is, rear heat exchanger, srx base gasket, and opti-cool head gasket from either bender or hauck.

Heres what im running on my 04 viper. PTO/CENTER/MAG : main 160/160/162.5 . Pilot jets 47.5/47.5/50. Clips 4th ring on all, PTO/Center both washers on top, MAG both washers on bottom. Has rear heat exchanger and i run ice scratchers on the river and low snow conditions. Carbs vented to airbox. Not running the opticool yet. Never overheated and only seen the DCS blip twice. It was first ride of year and i still had a bit of old gas in the tank. Piston wash and plugs are good. Running a tad rich but keeps me on the safe side for temp drops at night. I run mostly trail and river so im not on the throttle the whole time. Alway blip on long runs. So i am carfull. The pipes are a world of diff. Dont even like ridding the stock one anymore. The head mod is also recomended but have not done yet. And as alway you can call CPR, they are a site sponsor now. Also like mopar said dont even think of piping till you get the rear heat exchanger.
