just a quick question... 2000 sxr700.. I purchased last month...sled has to go to shop in november for them to clean the carbs and adjust the choke cable for me.. Whats happening is, the sled wont stay running unless i keep the choke cable open, previous owner said its done this since he had the dealer install bar risers last year, my local guy says its more then likely a simple fix, and prob the choke is too tight...but either way, my question is,,, when i do have it running(by having the choke open, and burping the throttle) my oil light is on, yet the oil is full??? would this be a bad oil sensor? my brother keeps telling me its because the choke is messed up that the light is coming on, maybe so, but i never heard of this. I just hope the sled is getting oil
how does one change a oil sensor? thanks

The oil resevoir sensor is on the left side of the oil tank (as you sit on the sled) If you remove your airbox, it's easy to see.
