assuming you have the correct tether, tap into the wires from/to the kill switch. they make 2 kinds, a normally open and a normally closed. usually the one for your sled has a white stripe on a black wire to correspond with the color code of the wires on the sled, based on my experience. dont be surprised if the one your trying to wire in only works with the tether removed as opposed to installed into the safety switch.

A tether is just like a light switch! you need to wire it into your ignition positive wire.Cut the wire and join the 2 black wires in series on one end of the wire and the other end completing the circuit! Clear as mud???

mine is PRO-DESIGN it says for battery and non battery tethering atv ,motocross, watercraft i guess no snowmobile but the guy at the store said it would work how can i tell it has one long and one short wire ? and its says short wire is ground and does not say where long one goes?
the part number is PD-102
the part number is PD-102
on your sleds kill switch wiring, the all black wire is ground, the black wire with the white stripe is the power/hot. so if i am reading you correctly, the short wire would go to the all black wire and the longer wire to the black/white wire. i would make some slits in the existing wires or use scotchloks for a temporary connection for testing purposes before commiting to a more permanent cut and solder install.
