So I bought a set last year from pioneer but have yet to put them in. What kind of difference can you other guys say they make?

I DO have the viper rear suspension in my '02 srx and I will for sure say it does not handle like a normal srx even with lots of sag in the rear end to level it out.

is it just the 3/4" eye/shaft extension that goes at the end of the shock? i've got those on my 98srx and i found flipping the mounts on my 2001 did the same thing. you will not notice much at all, i've got the long travel rear viper shocks as well and i find it handles the same as the stock ones, just smooths out the little chatter better. i found using the dual carbide arrow skis worked great, still rails like it did stock with these on along with the longer travel. ;)!

cool thanks for the reply. Yeah they are the little 3/4 extendors. I ahve te viper rear end which is much better down the rought trail but does NOT have that srx bite up front.

did you get the tool/holder for the vise to unbolt the stock ends with those? if not you will have a heck of a time removing them without damaging the shaft. i bought the holders to do mine, just needed to heat them a little and off they came with no marks on the shaft. makes it easier bolting them back on as well.

No I didn't buy them but I will maybe have to come up with a way to hold them carefully.

I am really curious about changeing the oil in the shocks while they are off. With 10000kms on the sled they have gotta be really soft. Chnaging the oil on my motocross bike makes a major difference and that is top quality stuff and changed every 30 hours.

i've got approx 23000km on my 98 srx ohlins and i never touched them. for sure it wouldn't hurt getting them rebuilt. someone here might be able to tell you where you could send them to have that done in Canada. ;)!

I want to do it myself, I do my motocross stuff myself. Just wondered if anyone could give me tips or a manual.
