What size of steel to use to build 2 place sled trailer


Why don't you find a used snowmobile trailer? I recently was looking to build my own, because what I was finding in the 4x8 size ( I need to pull it with a '08 Honda Accord) are pretty flimsy. I ended up finding a used one on the side of the road and thought I would just redo the deck, wheels and lighting to keep the cost down. After some further inspection once I got it home I realized the only good thing on it was the frame. here is a build thread on another site I am on.

I am pleased with the way it came out as I couldn't buy a sturdier more reliable trailer for what i have into it but it ended up being ALOT of work
 
2x2x3/16 for the tubes where the axel mounts and 2x1x 11 gauge for everything else 3x3x11 gauge for the tounge.
