Found a 97 700 SX with 4k miles on it and the guy said it needs a primary clutch. Hes asking 1000 for it, but he will take 800 for it. I am looking for a sled for my girl. I figured not a bad price for 800 plus 200 for a clutch, nice working 700 sled for a grand.....what do you guys think?

not a bad price.My stepson Bluemonster 2 on here found a redhead 700 motor that guy blew piston up last year.He said bottom end was good and 1 cyl. is ify.Comes with the stator also.He picked it up for $130 locally.Now he has spare parts or can part it out even.There are deals out there,but you have to be quick to snatch them up.

Buy that sled up. I'm sure if nothing else you could get more than that parting it out if you have the time and patience.
