I went to the New England snowmobile show at the Big E fair grounds in Springfield MA today. The show gets smaller each year. Several of my favorite vendors were not there. I picked up some maps and good information on the trail system in Maine. There was only ONE yamaha in teh entire show, a 1981 SRX in the antique snow show. Plent of Polaris and Arctic Cats. I guess it is a sign of the tough economic times.
I did see an advertisement on a trail map for a lodge in HN that was interesting. The advertisement said if you stay at the lodge, a smowmobile is provided free for the length of your stay. I called the lodge and spoke to the owner, he told me I must be kidding, where did I see the advertisement. I told him I just read it on the back of a 1969 trail map. He laughed and told me nice try but he cannot honor the add. The lodge owner is actually a good freind of mine, he did not recognize my voice.
