Right now I am not able to store my sled ina heated garage. Its outside on my trailer. I lifted the hood and there is moisture under the hood on the engine from the cold, like the morning dew that is on your car. Is there anything I can do to keep the engine parts from oxidizing or rusting?

wait till its sunny out so you can dry off the condensation and then dust the engine down with wd40(cover the clutchs and belt with a plastic bag) the wd40 will keep it from corroding and you can wipe off any excess. When you start the sled it will slightly smoke for a few seconds nothing to worry about,but it works well. I spray the entire rear suspen and track inside when I store them for summer also.

Dont wipe it down just let it drip. WD 40 makes a great can with a big fogging tip on it now made just for doing this. If you do spray the clutches down just clean the sheaves with acetone before running and take the belt off and bring it inside. The belt will slip bigtime if you leave the WD on it. CCC
seriously, cover up the clutchs with a bag, you dont want wd40 on the clutchs/belt at all, it will attract and hold the belt dust,turn your clutch into a grey/black gooey mess. The clutch is designed to work dry.

I've noticed rust on the edges of unfinished stamped steel pieces with WD. No such rust with silicone. It also doesn't leave the oily residue like WD does. About the only things that don't get sprayed are the drive belts and the hood.
I use silicone spray on our sleds.
