I recently installed a viper crankcase and crank with srx cylinders and heads. I know the porting is different on the viper crankcase so should I upsize my jetting?

Oh yeah I already have the pickup for the mag machined to fit the srx stator
The 2000 + up SRXs share the same crankcases with the 2003 + up Vipers. I am running a Viper crank in my 2002 SRX. The 1998/99 SRXs use a different crankshaft, stator. flywheel, and cases then the later ones.

there is no difference in the shape of the crankcases in reguards to porting only the pickup location and pto bearing bore is different,if this is your 98 your talking about.how did ya make out with the water pump?kirk700 srx said:

I made sure everything was spotless not even a piece of lint and the drip went away Thankfully! Im good to go I guess! John at Yamaha told me that the viper crankcase had diff porting? I figured that all the porting was in the cylinders! I dont know why he said that or is he right? Maybe he was thinking I was gonna use the viper cylinders

Oh and I used the 98 pto bearings on viper crank!

Yeah I made sure everything everything was good! sealed her up with three bond couldnt buy yamabond at our shop!

I hope its all done right man! if not I guess I will have some more parts for the other srx! Im trying to convince the wife to let me buy a new nytro turbo. I guess she loves me,cause I have almost a million in life insurance and she says NO... LOL
