Okay....

Stock spec pages state in my 00 sxr700 both holes in my weights have 13.9 and 13.9 rivets in the 8 DF flyweight...

I want to run the 17.2's in both inner and outer... Right? 4.5 grams each hole. I have been searching for the past two days using different keywords and not having much luck.

Everything else I have been understanding, but the rivet/weight combination is confusing the hell outta me. Jetting/helix/etc. got all that but I know that the tuning page says this, but then I am seeing threads that say "00 and newer have different set ups," okay, fine, dandy, but what is the deal? I am not questioning the know how, just need the clarification as to whether or not I am on the right track here. I cant find anything definitive...

Maybe you are looking in the wrong place? It's all in the tech section under "CLUTCHES and jetting". Then go to the clutch tuning and jetting page. If you are referring to Turks trail recommendation for your sled, it is 4.5g on the inner holes and 3.1g on the outers with 8CA weights. The difference between your sled and the earlier years is the rollers he recommends, 14.5mm on your sled.

Run 17.2 in each hole & run a apex 8bv-fa 51/43 helix in the secondary.
