so from what i get out of thease no's is the registerd weight is the total weight with thease amounts of fluids added to the sled which is bunk, if sno-goer had there sh*t together they would have done them all on a even playing field and filled the fuel tank to capacity along with the oil tank as the sled is ridden i mean how many of you go riding with 2 gallons of fuel and 1 qt of oil the your tanks.

so lets just take a look at a 1999 sx 700 with the fluids full
full tank of gas 8 lbs per gal=96 lbs
sled weights 494+ the 96 lbs for 12 gallons of fuel=590.3 true registered wet weights as ridden.... not as light as one might think huh? now pack it full of snow,or get it stuck
the dry weight doesnt mean Sh*t to me cant ride a sled Dry duh....
this also includes 6.7 lbs for coolant and 2.5qts of oil,8oz of gear oil

now my manual for my 98 sx says 500 lbs for dry weights now if this number is true? my sled full of fluids ready to ride would weight in at 602.7 lbs

so the weight i see it if the factory wants to claim a dry weight it to me doesnt me nothing because it is not real world, now if the sled weight in at 486 full of fluids now that i would call a light sled

also they weighed other sleds in this article and some of them sno-goer weighed with no fuel at all or no fluids other than coolant which is really stupid.....

this just reflects my opinion on weights and does not constitue others views on the topic
thank you .....

if they listed weight with all the fluids, then we would have 1qt oil tanks and 3 gallon gas tanks, just so manufactures could lay claim to less weight.
