EVER HAVE TOO CRACK THE TROTTLE OPEN ABOUT A INCH TO GET YOUR SRX STARTED ? BOTH MY 2000 AND MY 2002 DO THIS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

My 2002 needs the throttle cracked open slightly to start when the sled is warm...I figure it ends up with a little fuel pooled in the cases after shut down so its starting rich.

dont know how true it is... but somebody told me a long time ago that if you go to the next leaner pilot jet then re-adjust your fuel screws as needed, you wont have that problem

I'm waiting for the punch line. :bump:

yup, me too. Crack the throttle only when warm. And it runs perfect so I wouldn't mess with it just for that.

My 98 will start without cracking the throttle but it takes more pulls, like 4-5,so rather than have one of my riding buds give me sh*t for pulling my guts out I just crack the throttle and it fires right up on one pull.

Same here. Most 3 cylinder yamahas i've seen you need to give some throttle when starting a warm engine.
