EVER HAVE TOO CRACK THE TROTTLE OPEN ABOUT A INCH TO GET YOUR SRX STARTED ? BOTH MY 2000 AND MY 2002 DO THIS. 3:16 (yammie tony)
My 2002 needs the throttle cracked open slightly to start when the sled is warm...I figure it ends up with a little fuel pooled in the cases after shut down so its starting rich.

Every now and then I have to crack my throttle on my 98. It will usually start, but won't stay running unless I crack it when this happens.

Yup mine too. Pull the rope and crack the throttle to get her to start when warm.
dont know how true it is... but somebody told me a long time ago that if you go to the next leaner pilot jet then re-adjust your fuel screws as needed, you wont have that problem

I don't consider it enough of a problem on my sled to consider re-jetting and adjusting the fuel screws...JMO

My sx-r is that way also, always crack the throttle a little when warm.

I'm waiting for the punch line.

yup, me too. Crack the throttle only when warm. And it runs perfect so I wouldn't mess with it just for that.

My 01' SRX does this and I found that by turning the hand and thumb warmers off it does help sometimes but not always...
My 98 will start without cracking the throttle but it takes more pulls, like 4-5,so rather than have one of my riding buds give me sh*t for pulling my guts out I just crack the throttle and it fires right up on one pull.
Same here. Most 3 cylinder yamahas i've seen you need to give some throttle when starting a warm engine.

All 4 of our 700 triple Yamahas need this done when starting the sled warm.
