hello all, I am working on an et250 for my kids.
Removed the skid frame, sandblasted, por-15, new wheel bearings, wheels and greased axles. In re-installing the skid frame I'm having a tough time getting the two springs compressed on either side of the skid.
Are there any tricks to doing this ??

many thanks for any suggestions..

you need to have the skid fully bolted into the sled. then you take a 3-4' prybar (loger sometimes works better) and pry the spring up onto the slider block attached to the rail. some times you need to hold it over with a hammer handle as it wants to slide down your prybar as you put it on the block.

i have to do this every time i have an enticer skid out and as there are 4 in the fleet, i have had a lot of practice over the years.

another trick that may work is using a ratchet strap. secure it to the rear crosshaft on one end and any of the forward shafts you can get a good attachment to on the other end. then start ratcheting. the rear scissor will come down and align with the bolt holes. i use this trick on older phazers, exiters, cat and poo torsion spring skids. works for me.
