don't laugh, but I had a rattling sound on my 600 last season.Drove me nuts.Happened as I started moving and continued.Sled sitting still and reving motor nothing showed up.It started bugging me.One day lay on the floor and searched the whole area under, but it sounded like it was coming from the engine bay area. Finally found it was one of my front exhanger protectors, part of it let go were welded, other end was still on by rivet. It started to rattle as the track turned..... Check yours, you never know.Could be dangerous if it totally let go and jambed the track and destroyed exchanger.First place I would check, otherwise try sled at different speeds, rpms or whatever it takes.GOOD LUCK111
Hmm.. I don't think a MM has heat exchanger protectors

I don't hear the rattle when im pinning it but maybe the motor is just to loud. certainly nothing until the track starts moving.
Bad belt
Change the belt & report back. You've likely burned a little mark in it which makes the noise when it goes around the primary.

The clutch will make some noise as the weights engage and disengage, and if the bushings are worn out it will be worse. I think that could be it, because I chased this same thing around on my 600 and I was scared it was spark knocking as it only did it under light load, after experimenting with spark plugs and fuel addictives to find nothing changed it, I tore my primary apart, inspected and replaced the bushings and put it back together. It was still there but not nearly as loudly as it was, so I knew that was it.
