A friend of mine has a 2000 srx and he has to redo his skid ,he can get his hands on a 04 rx1 skid ,is it worth putting in or not and will it bolt right in . His sled has long travel suspension in it now from pioneer but needs alot of work .
Is that the mono shock skid? If so do a search on here and you will be able to find a couple of posts related to swapping them into the SXR/SRX chassis'
I dont believe the mono came in the RX untill 05(first year)
Personally I dont think it would be worth it, depending on what his skid needs, of course. If it just needs to be refreshed(bushings,shock rebuild,etc...) Id go that route . Chances are, the 04 skid will need refreshed aswell, and wont give you any better ride.
Other options would be to replace it with another Manufactures skid, such as Arctic Scrap,SkiPoop, or Polaris. They can be found fairly cheap used(150-250) and will improve the ride considerablly.
Those skids wont "bolt up" with out doing a little research on mounting locations, but there are many TY members that have done the mod with great results, and would be able to help with the mounting.
