I have stock gearing for a 99 srx700 which is 23/37. I am about to change the chaincase oil and debating if i would benefit from an 01 srx 700 gear ratio which is 23/38. Would going from a 37 to a 38 make a difference and also whould i have to change my chain (15) to a 01 chain (13)? I am looking for best gearing for 1000ft radar run. Right now my sled engages at 4000 rpm and shifts at 8500 with 8500 being max rpm. I run 100mph-102mph gps in 1000ft across the lake on hard pack...(not shaved track). Obviously I would like a few more mph in 1000ft. any input is appreciated.

Rpm 8500
Clutch Gear Ratio 1.00
Clutch Ratio .90
Gearing 23/38
Track Pitch 2.52
Sprocket teeth number 10

Calculated MPH 136.41

Bluemonster here you go should get too at least to the 120 mark LOL!

its because you figured 10 tooth drivers, not 9 tooth which is what a srx has

I know I put in the 10 tooth sprockets as bluemonster wants to hit 120 mph this should give that mph LOL. This calculation with 9 tooth drivers was 122mph but we all know that the Dream O Meter is 10-12mph off

10-12 mph off to the dream side if you at 120 your going 109-110mph Ask Tony3:16 everybodys different
