next best torque limiter?

i went to my dealer and they said yamaha no longer makes the torque limiter. so what do you guys recommend is the next best choice? thanks

They sell them by the dozens on ebay. Need the one for the SRX. Just bought 2 of them for $30 shipped. Just search Yamaha snowmobile or Yamaha SRX and search from the lowest price to the highest. Youll find one. CCC

That's not correct/ right......


1. It's in the 2011 accessories catalogue

2. I know this because I just ordered like a onth or so ago

3. I also ordered all of the parts from the diagram for the SRX dog bone engine mounts, which they also make.

Got a lot of lazy dealers out there,,,(people behind the counter),,,,,, usually have to point it out to them...... many boneheads that don't care or know better........
 
Call Port Yamaha, a sponsor of this site. They provide terrific service, they will set you straight. I think the guy to talk to is Kevin.
 
alright will do on that one rx1jim. ya my dealer said they called the warehouse or what ever and he said. they dont make no more of them. they are out of stock and being discontinued
 
well the torque limiter is in the 2011 catalog, however I tried to order one and its interstellar backordered, so I may have to go a different route. Didn't want to put my carbs or clutch back on until i got the limiter installed but they have no ETA on a new one and snow is starting to fly here.
 
its the SRX dogebone mout thing thats backordered. its the exact same part they sold as an upgrade to the viper. I've been searching ebay every day with no luck! i've tried typind in different variations too are they still listed? you can pm me the listing numbers if you want.
 
Just type in srx snowmobile in reg ebay. Then sort from cheapest to most expensive. They will show up. In fact same person bought my 2 from. They had a bunch of them in the early fall. Just had to message them to get a complete one with all the bolts and brackets. CCC
 
I have my name on the backorder list, Port Yamaha said the new shipment will be in Dec 10th, you should be able to get on the list also.

Well i haven't canceled my order yet, so I assume its on the backorder list. I ordered from boats.net and they couldnt tell me if it was discontinued now or if there was another run being made. Guess I'll wait and see.
